A desk and an armchair, designed in 1936 by Gerald Summers, manufactured by Makers of Simple Furniture/Great Britain, laminated birch, one side open and rounded off, five various-sized drawers, the top covered with original black linoleum, length 135 cm, depth 53 cm, height 71 cm, the chair of laminated birch, curved, the seat with horsehair upholstery without textile covering, height 67 cm, depth 43 cm, width 46 cm, height of seat 41 cm. The chair fits exactly into the kneehole of the desk and may disappear in it completely. Very rare. Lit.: D.
