A circular brass plaque from a lifeboat carried by the "TSS Duke of Lancaster", built for British Railways in 1955 for the Heysham-Belfast service with accommodation for 600 first-class and 1200 second-class passengers. She was given extra fittings for cruises to the Western Highlands, Norway, Denmark, Holland and Spain when not required for the regular run. The plaque has a rope border and illustrates the lion over wheel crest. 5" diameter. In fine original painted condition.
