A bronze medal issued to passengers on the maiden voyage of Brunel's steamship "The Great Britain" on January 26th 1845. One side illustrates the ship and describes the launch in 1843 by Prince Albert; the other side has 20 lines of text including names of the crew. 1 3/4" diameter, in very fine original condition.
