This was the first slide action shotgun Winchester ever developed exclusively for the .410 bore. This shotgun was originally manufactured in 1937 and subsequently custom embellished. The left side of the receiver is engraved with a scene of two relief engraved silver inlaid hunting dogs and three relief engraved silver inlaid quail and the right side has a marsh scene with four relief engraved silver inlaid ducks. Both scenes are flanked by floral scroll engraving with a punch dot background. The sides of the barrel and the magazine at the breech end have a 2 inch wedge of the same floral scroll and punch dot engraving. The muzzle end of the barrel has a 1 1/4 inch wedge of the same design on each side. The trigger guard has a leaf design and directly behind the trigger guard is signed "A WYGANT". The left rear of the barrel is marked with the address/proof steel, Winchester trade mark, model, gauge and chamber marking, and the matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver and takedown ring. Single brass bead sight on the matte solid rib, 3 inch chamber and choked extra full. Very fine as professionally refinished and embellished with 98% blue finish remaining with wear limited to the magazine tube from normal cycling. All of the silver inlay remains. The wood is excellent with a few light scratches and minor handling marks. The checkering is sharp. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
