A White Star Line superbly detailed testing instrument, with lots of brass fittings, engraved "Lord Kelvin's Patents Testing Set No. 434 Kelvin & James White Ltd Glasgow & London.50000 Ohms At 18¦ C". All in a polished wood box inside the hinged lid of which is a brass plaque engraved "White Star Line No. 434". 8 1/2"x7 1/2"x5 1/4" tall. It is accompanied by its original White Star Line card "Please Note this instrument Not To Be Removed from "OLYMPIC" A E Henderson C.R.O. Date 3/9/1913 Item No 434".
