(Walt Disney World, 1971-1989) A guide wheel from the Mark IV Monorail. Designed by Disney Legend Bob Gurr, the Mark IV was the first used on the Walt Disney World Monorail System. They were retired in 1989 and replaced with the new Mark VI Monorail. The guide wheel provides stability and guidance to the Monorail and is constructed of a Goodyear nylon tire and a metal rim with an axle. Measuring 22" in diameter and 12" deep, including the axle, the wheel displays in good, Resort-used condition with typical wear, scuffs, oxidation, and a 3.5" crack to the rim. Due to size and weight, this item requires special shipping arrangements. Please inquire before bidding.
