A WORKSPLATE “Robert Stephenson & Hawthorns Ltd 7550 Newcastle Works 1950”. As carried by the (GWR) ‘9400 class’ 0-6-0PT 9413 that emerged from Works in March 1950 under Lot 382 at a cost of £10,804. Initially a Didcot engine, she moved to Southall in 1956 where she spent the rest of her life until withdrawal on 22nd November 1963 to be cut up by Mayer, Newman & Co of Blackwall, London.
