A WORKSPLATE “R & W Hawthorn Leslie & Co Ltd Engineers 2694 Newcastle on Tyne 1907 England”. As carried by “MURIEL”, an 0-4-0ST with outside cylinders that emerged from Works in July 1907 going to the Stella Coal Co Ltd, Stella Colliery, Northumberland. It became NCB property at Stella in 1947 when it lost its name and became No. 15. About 1958 it went to Addison Colliery but returned to Stella in 1959 then back to Addison about May 1961. It was finally scrapped in July 1963. Oval cast brass, 13”x8½”, unrestored.
