A WORKSPLATE "LMS Built Derby". As carried by the ex Midland Railway 1142 Class 0-6-0, MR 1227, built by Neilson as Works No. 2087 in 1876. It was rebuilt at Derby in 1890 and 1898; renumbered 2995 in 1907; rebuilt again in 1913 and 1919; became LMS 2995 Class 2F; and eventually became BR 58168 in December 1950. Latterly based at Saltley, Bournville and Bushbury, it was withdrawn in July 1960 (after 84 years of useful life). Oval cast brass, 10 1/4"x5 3/4", face-polished and repainted only.
