                    A WORKSPLATE “LMS Built 1920 St Rollox”. As carried by the ex Caledonian Railway 72 Class 4-4-0, Caledonian 81, that emerged from Works in September 1920. A handsome Pickersgill designed engine mainly used on local passenger trains but often observed on pilot and freight duties. It became LMS 14486 Class 3P, and BR 54486. Latterly a Forfar and Perth engine, it was withdrawn in March 1962 and cut up by Arnott Young, West of Scotland Shipbuilding Company, Troon in November 1963. Oval cast brass, 10½”x6”, unrestored.
