A WORKSPLATE “Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd No. 1812 Railway Foundry 1948 Leeds England”. As carried by an 0-4-0ST with outside cylinders that emerged from Works on 2nd June 1948 going to Astley Green Colliery, Lancashire, where it was named “CARR”. In August 1969 it went to the NCB’s Ladysmith Coal Preparation Plant, Haig Colliery, Whitehaven where presumably it was scrapped. Oval cast brass, 8¼”x4½”, face-polished only.
