A WORKSPLATE “Hudswell Clarke & Co Ltd No. 1178 Railway Foundry Leeds 1916”. As carried by an 0-6-0ST with outside cylinders that emerged from Works on 21st February 1916. It went new to Frodingham Iron & Steel Company, Frodingham Works, as their No. 19. It then went to Appleby Works as No. 18; and Appleby-Frodingham Steel Company, Frodingham Works in October 1934 as No. 118 until 1938, then No. 74. About 1952 it went to the NCB’s Yorkshire Main Colliery, named “EDDIE”. It was out of use by 1969. Oval engraved brass, 13”x8”, face-polished only.
