A WORKSPLATE "Great Central Rly Builders 1911 Gorton Works". As carried by either a GCR Class 8A 0-8-0 Nos. 1180-1182 (which became LNER Class Q4 6180-6182); or a GCR Class 9N 4-6-2T Nos. 23,24,165-170, 447, 448 (which became LNER Class A5 5023, 5024, 5165-5170, 5447, 5448); or a GCR Class 8K 2-8-0 Nos. 26,69,93,331-335, 966 (which became LNER Class 04 5026,5069,5093,5331-5335, 5966). Oval cast brass, 9 3/4"x5 1/4", face-polished and repainted only. Different size bolt-holes.
