A WAGONPLATE lettered “Shropshire And Montgomeryshire Rly. Shrewsbury”. Rectangular cast-iron, 10”x6”, face-repainted only. Note This Railway opened in 1911 taking over the Shrewsbury to Llanymynech line originally operated by the Potteries, Shrewsbury and North Wales Railway (until 1880). It was acquired by the War Department in 1939 and closed in 1960.
