Pre-Columbian, from the Vicus culture of northern Peru, ca. 100 BC to 200 AD. Rounded jar elaborately decorated in negative-resist patterns, with the head of a bird emerging from one side, and typical pointed spout the other. Decorated bridge connects the back of the head of the owl to the spout. 6" T x 5-1/2"D, intact.
