(Victor Talking Machine Co., 1914-18) An Enclosed Floor Model Version 2 Victrola Talking Machine XX-XIV Cabinet. The Victrola was designed to stand out in the competitive phonograph market , with the horn enclosed in the cabinet beneath the turntable, presenting a stylish piece of furniture. Included are 11 envelopes of steel single-use needles, one bamboo "fiber" needle, and a "Tungs-tone" brass stylus for up to 60 uses. Also included is a Columbia "Grand" record cleaner in its original, slightly damaged box, three keys to the cabinet, and an original instruction sheet. 100 five inch to twelve inch records are included in 10 record books. Highlights include World War I songs, Christmas favorites, Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue,” and selections from “H.M.S. Pinafore.” The machine has been tested and functions well, with loud, clear sound. Measuring 22” x 24.5” x 48.25” the Talking Machine is in good condition with scratches and scuffs. Due to size and weight, special shipping arrangements are required. Please inquire before bidding.
