<B>A Victorian Marquetry Jewelry Box</B></I><BR>Unknown maker, England<BR>Late Nineteenth Century<BR>Walnut, oak, satinwood, ivory, mirrored glass, ebonized wood, pine, textile, brass<BR>Unmarked<BR>8.75 in. high x 13.12 in. wide x 9 in. deep<BR><BR>Top hinged box with sloped top and one drawer, with burl walnut inlay to front, the top with triangular points of contrasting oak and dark walnut veneer, with flat top with diamonds with veneered patterning; sides with oak and satinwood star veneer; ivory pulls and escutcheon; the interior with fitted pine tray with four fabric covers, mirror to interior of lid.<BR>
