1 Large 19th century hair centered green paste OME example. If you didnt know Nikki Deal of Missouri who was also the past assistant editor of the NBS bulletin, but you have been watching our auctions for the past few auctions, you now have a good feel for how eclectic she was in her collecting of buttons. This example is no exception and it is quite an unusual and RARE button. The center is hair *human or Horse we do not know) and is set into a very ornate Art Nouveau style brass mounting accented with faceted green pastes around the outside. If the center where the hair is was a large glass cabochon this would be a genuine Gay 90 button. Very cool button and in great condition. It was noted on Nikki's card that several seasoned collectors had offered her over time a considerable amount for the button, but she was always reluctant to give it up.

Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
Dimensions: SM=Less than 3/4", Medium=3/4" to 1 1/4". Large=1 1/4" and above, extra large=1 3/4" and above

Condition: These antique buttons may show age-related wear, and while notable condition issues are disclosed, buyers should expect vintage characteristics. We do not re-card buttons, so cannot guarantee the condition of backs or shanks on multi-button cards; additional condition reports are available upon request.
