<B>Union Officer's Kepi With Gold Braid Trim.</B></I> This attractive Union army officer's kepi has two decorative gold braids that circle the cap, the lower one terminating at the two federal eagle buttons that secure the gold cord at the front above the visor. Although the visor has separated from the blue felt, it is still attached at the buttons and is secure with a ½” tear at the front left. <BR><BR>There is a rigid board inside the cap that shapes the crown in a standing position making this a nice presentation piece. The interior is in excellent condition with a brown quilted silk lining with a silver shield stamped into the center. The 2” light brown leather sweatband is in very good condition with a tear at the front right of the cap.
