A TRADITIONAL OAK TWO-STAGE PRESS OR COURT-CUPBOARD, the scroll-carved frieze bearing triad 'TBE' and date 1691, above dentil-effect moulding and spirally-reeded pendants, on two panels carved with geometric motifs within fluting, flanked by twin cupboard doors with carved foliate motifs, above a "dog-tooth"-carved inverted breakfront base, the lower stage having a central drawer above a panel carved with plants, between large foliate-carved three-panel cupboard doors, enclosing shelves, the stiles having bearded caryatids with folded arms, on leaf-carved pedestals, the whole on an inverted breakfront plinth base, 194cm x 69cm x 176cm high, (76.25in x 27in x 69.25in) Est.£800/1200
