A TOTEM "SALTBURN". BR(NE) tangerine, fully-flanged with black-edged letters. Virtually mint. From the ex NER terminus station on the Branch from the Whitby-Redcar line. It opened as "Saltburn-By-Sea" in 1861 and was renamed in 1910. A very rare totem only sold twice in Auction, and not since 1991.
