A TOTEM "OXENHOLME". BR(M) maroon, fully-flanged. In very good condition with only minor staining to the first two letters, and a small face-edge scuff. An ex LNWR station on the West Coast Main Line, junction for the Windermere Branch, opened as "Kendal Junction" in 1847; renamed "Oxenholme" c.1860; "Oxenholme The Lake District" in 1988. This totem has not appeared in Auction since 1999.
