A TOTEM “BOAT OF GARTEN”. BR(Sc) light blue, fully-flanged. Virtually mint. An ex Highland Railway station, between Aviemore and Grantown-On-Spey on the Forres line. Boat of Garten station opened in 1863 and closed in 1965 only to be reopened by the Scottish Railway Preservation Society in 1978. One of the most desirable of all Scottish names and a very rare totem that has only been offered once before in Auction, and that in 1982! See Lot 397.
