A Stockade Jacket from an Unknown Film, 1960s.... (Total: 1 )
A Stockade Jacket from an Unknown Film, 1960s. Made of brown heavy-weight cotton, with a corduroy collar and cuffs, four large flap front pockets (one pocket has two pin holes where a badge would have been), four button front closure (though one is missing), American Costume [Luster Bayless' company] stamp on inside right sleeve (though no Western Costume Co. tag); dyed later likely for another actor's use, though originally made for Wayne. This is the trademark "stockade jacket" that Wayne wore in nine of his last eleven films, including "True Grit" and "Rooster Cogburn" among many others, but because of the color change, it cannot be positively attributed to any specific film.
