A Set of Four Kesi-Woven Panels, Each displaying a scene of women and children working and playing within a rocky garden setting, with rooftops amidst swirling clouds above, woven in pale threads to a yellowish ground. Republic Period, Each: 37 1/2 x 10 1/4 inches (95.2 x 26 cm) Provenance: Inherited from the Collection of William E. Colby. The Colby Collection is most well known for it's Chinese Imperial Robes that were donated and currently shown at the Minneapolis Institute of Art in Minnesota.
