A SUPERB GILT BRONZE SCULPTURE OF TARA, c.17th Century, standing above a separately cast flat lotus base inscribed to the rear and a separately cast mandorla to the rear, her hands held in vitarka and varada mudra, holding lotus flowers in both hands rising to her shoulders, wearing a long flowing dhoti decorated with floral borders and secured with beaded festoons inset with turquoise, her face with gentle expression, downcast eyes below a foliate tiara inset with turquoise, wearing an elaborate necklace inset with turquoise and coral, superb detail and quality, Tibet, 46x27cm
