A SMOKEBOX NUMBERPLATE "40641". As carried by the ex LMS Class 2P 4-4-0, LMS 641, built at Crewe as Works No. 6082 in August 1931 under Lot 76, based on an earlier Midland Railway design. Latterly a Corkerhill and Stranraer loco, it ended its days at Hurlford from where it was withdrawn in October 1961 to be cut up by B.R. Carriage & Wagon Works, Heatheryknowe, Glasgow in January 1962. Face-repainted only.
