<B>A SIOUX GIRL’S BEADED HIDE BONNET</B></I><BR><BR>c. 1900<B><BR></B></I> <BR>sinew sewn and lane-stitched in various shades of glass seed beads, each side decorated with an eight-point star, similar motifs down the crown<BR><I><BR>Length: 7 inches<BR></B></I><BR><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> In overall good to very good condition. Hide with usual wear, including light soiling. Cotton lining with light stains and section of detached hem at bottom near neck. Loss of rose-colored silk neck ties. Beadwork nearly intact, with some soiling and a minor (approx. 3/8”) loss of white beading around bottom rim. Lacework fully intact.
