<B>A SIOUX BEADED HIDE TOBACCO BAG<BR></B></I><BR>c. 1890<BR> <BR>sinew sewn and lane-stitched in numerous shades of opaque and translucent beads, each side with geometric designs, three triangular beaded tabs suspended below, short hide fringe <BR><I><BR>Length: 25 ½ inches overall<BR></B></I><BR> <B>Condition Report:</B> In overall good condition. Hide with moderate wear, including moderate soiling, brown spotting, particularly in striations following folds. One side has dark yellow/grayish brown stain approx. 1-3/4” x 1-1/2” and 3/8 x 1/8” circular hole. Beadwork intact with exception of an approx. 3/16” x 5/8” section in middle of bag on one side.
