This pattern of stiff-leaf headed 'Grecian' tapering leg featured on a chair-pattern in T. King's Cabinet Makers' Sketch Book, published in 1835. Interestingly, although the exact splat-pattern has not been traced, the distinctive lotus-wrapped Grecian cross-rail can be seen on a chair-pattern published by W. Toms in 1840.
