Egypt, Middle Kingdom, 2055-1650 BC. Carved in raised relief with a falcon-headed Horus facing right, holding a feather in his hands; remains of original pigment. Fragment itself measures 6"H x 2-3/4"W. Fragmentary. Custom stand.

Ca. 6-8th century AD. Cast bronze assembly composed of two twisted rods with loops at each end, both cheek pieces in the form of a square. This beautifully preserved piece would have been made using the lost wax method and was likely used primarily for chariot and parade horses. Custom lucite base.
