An original Navajo Chief's blanket from the early 1900s. This wonderful blanket features the traditional 3rd Phase style of striped designs which are accented with nine triangular blocks. The colors are a white background with dark brown stripes and blue and red accents. This is a nicely woven blanket with hand spun and hand dyed wool. The colors have faded a bit with age and there is slight damage, but overall it's a nice example. MAKE: An unknown Navajo weaver. APPROX. AGE: Circa early 1900s. SIZE: Measures approx. 51inches wide X 62 inches long. CONDITION: Good for its age, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description and are hereby incorporated into the description, specifically with regards to condition.
