Made by Simon Settle (1823-1871) of Barren County, Kentucky. The Settles established themselves as gunsmiths in Kentucky in 1800, their rifles were highly prized. Simon Settle is considered the foremost maker of the family. Mid-19th century. Light wear. Overall length 142.9 cm.
