A RARE COLLECTION OF THREE NEPALESE AUSPICIOUS BUDDHIST CAITYAS, c.1930, typically Newar, the votive architectural stupas of cast bronze, of square bases with spike corner motifs of vajras and four bodhisattvas, mandala and a throne of double lotus with a coiled naga, the four Tathagatas inserted in niches around the dome bases, the eyes on the neck of the stupa depicting the Adamantine view of the Buddha, nine tiers, the apex jewel with a symbolic ushnisha, Kathmandu valley, 25x15x15cm Provenance: From an Australian collection, formally the property of a wealthy Nepalese family Note: For further information cf.
