A QIANLONG PERIOD (1736-95) 18TH-CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT PORCELAIN ARMORIAL MUG of cylindrical form, having a gilt chain and lozenge band below the rim, the exterior with famille rose-type floral decoration flanking a large shield (leaves flanking an acorn or upon a torse, atop a visor, adorning a shield sable with six acorns or flanking a fess azure with three oak leaves vert), traces of a large mark in iron red to the base, 10.5cm diameter x 14.5cm high, (4.1in x 5.5in) (broken into ten pieces and riveted together) *** An accompanying note suggests the arms to be those of OGDEN, but with errors.
