Three Colima Birds, Western Mexico, 100 BC -AD 250. Terracotta grouping of three birds perched, beaks together, above what could be a mound of grain, on a round, three legged platform. Platform divided into six pie shaped sections with a reddish brown pigment that also appears on the wings, heads and tails of the birds. 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 2-1/8". Mounted on a custom walnut base. Intact/generally excellent condition with good remaining white slip and pigment.
