<B>A Pair of Russian Patinated and Gilt Bronze Brule Perfumes</B></I><BR><BR>In the manner of Pierre-Philippe Thomire<BR>Unknown maker, possibly Russia<BR>Nineteenth Century<BR>Patinated and gilt bronze<BR>Unmarked<BR>26.5 in. high x 12.5 in. diameter<BR><BR>Surmounted by anthemia-pierced lids with pine cone finials, the campana-form urns adorned with a flared rim cast with naturalistic leaves and clustered berries; a frieze containing a procession of dancing nymphs surrounds the waist, above a swelling base decorated with applied foliate mounts and flanked by cast ram's heads upon a stem terminated in a beribboned leaf and berry socle.
