Genuine early Irish samplers are very rare at best. This pair from the 'snug'wall of the famous Irish 17th cent. pub 'The Milepost' have a provenance linking the Veal, Pattern & Power families of Waterford. The samplers have been cleaned & conserved to museum standard, mounted & re framed. One made by Margarn Patten, November 1810 the other by Mary Veal, Waterford, October 5th 1820. These two samplers have been together for over a century & are for sale as a pair only. We will be very pleased to give much further information if required.
