Pair of Hand Painted Porcelain Plaques, Tavern Scenes, 19th c. - Probably German, both unsigned. The first depicting a young woman seated in front of a wine barrel, filling a jug, while a cocky cavalier leers over her shoulder. The second also depicting a couple in a tavern interior, the young man reaching into his pocket while the woman stands guard over the spirits. Both framed in matching chestnut frames with egg and dart bronze tone fillet, copper over resin acorn and leaf inner band, outer band repeats egg and dart motiff. Art size - 7-7/8"h x 5-7/8"w. Dimensions overall 12.5"h x 10.25"w
