A Han Dynasty painted pottery figure, depicting a standing male attendant with hands clasped in front. Made from grey earthenware, the figure wears a long cross-collared robe with traces of red and black pigments on the surface. The facial features are molded with a calm and respectful expression, typical of funerary figures from the Han period. Mounted on a flared pedestal base for stability. Such figures were commonly placed in tombs as mingqi (spirit objects) to serve the deceased in the afterlife. This piece retains much of its original pigment and encrustation, offering strong archaeological and historical value.
