<B>A PLAINS BEADED HIDE FEMALE DOLL<BR></B></I><BR>c. 1890<B><BR></B></I> <BR>with beaded facial features and buffalo hair (?) coiffure, wearing traditional beaded and fringed hide dress, leggings, and moccasins<BR><BR>Provenance:<BR>Collected in 1920 by A.C. Stohr, Lame Deer, MT<BR><I><BR>Height: 19 inches <BR></B></I> <B>Condition Report:</B> Both overall good condition with moderate wear and moderate soiling. Hide face of male doll stained. Approx. 1 ½ inch tear in hide of neck. Minor bead loss on border of chest panel and on left legging. Hide tassel missing from right shoulder area. All other fringe intact. Old ½ inch repair to hide of lower left front of tunic. Approx. two ¼ inch puncture holes in hide dress of female. Beadwork with minor loss on collar, dress, bottom border and trim around face. Fringe with slight loss.
