Likely Visayan work, the flared and faceted banati wood hilt inlaid with mother of pearl, the grip covered in woven rattan. The double-edged blade early Moro work, the upper half waved, the lower straight. The fort with characteristic profiling and deep fullering, wrought of superior twistcore pattern-welded damascus steel and hard steel edges. In its finely-crafted scabbard, composed of various hardwoods and inlaid with mother of pearl borders. Blade late 18th-early 19th century, mounts early 20th century. Light wear. Overall length 70.4 cm.
