<B>A PAIR OF SIOUX QUILLED AND BEADED HIDE MOCCASINS<BR></B></I><BR>c. 1925<BR> <BR>each decorated on the vamp with stepped triangles in variously colored porcupine quills against a red quilled ground, the bifurcated tongues with <BR>metal cones inserted with red-dyed chicken feathers, rawhide soles<BR><I><BR>Length: 10 ½ inches<BR></B></I> <B>Condition Report:</B> In overall fair to good condition. Hide with moderate wear and soiling. Sole with light to moderate wear. All perimeter beading intact and secure with exception of one vertical two-column panel which is unfastened on one end. Porcupine quills bright but with wear, abrasion and some loss. Calico fabric bright. Some loss of chicken feathers on bifurcated tongues.
