A North Eastern Railway Signalbox Board "WHITWOOD". Wood with metal letters, 40", face-repainted only. VGC. Opened in 1890, the signalbox was a NER Type S1b design, at the junction for the GNR's line to Lofthouse South Junction signalbox (between Wakefield and Leeds) and for the Moss Street branch line. When closed, on 13th September 1997, it was the junction for the line to Methley Junction signalbox because of a series of line and box closures.
