Titled "BARBADOES," reflecting the island's historical colonial spelling used from the 1600s until around 1850. The map showcases detailed parishes, towns, forts, bays, and plantations, and highlights Barbados' significance as a British sugar-producing colony during this time. time of the 1816 slave rebellion.
