Pre-Columbian, from northern Peru, Nazca, ca. 200 - 600 A.D. Brightly painted pottery bowl with exterior painted decoration of four large stylized lizards with abstract parrot head tails; cream ground with elliptical decorative elements. 7-1/2"D, stable hairline from rim to center, minor paint wear, otherwise intact/excellent.

Provenance: Ex-private Texas Collection, ex-Jean-Eugene Lyons, Geneva, Switzerland.
