Colombia SA, Tuza Class Ca. 1250 AD. Very rare in the corpus of Pre Columbian art to find square or rectangular bowls. Here we have one on raised on disc foot with bold geometric design and small stylized monkeys depicted in tondo and some banding on reverse. Good colors. 5-5/8"L, intact but with surface abrasions due to age. Nicely potted rare piece.
