A NAMEPLATE “QUALITY APPROVED”. As carried by the British Railways Type 4 2580 H.P. CoCo diesel electric D1844 built at Crewe, emerging to traffic on 22nd May 1965. It was renumbered 47194 Class 47/0 in April 1974, and named “BULLIDAE” in August 1988. It was renamed “CARLISLE CURROCK” on 15th January 1993 with this “QUALITY APPROVED” plate, and was withdrawn for disposal on 29th September 2000. Rectangular cast aluminium, 36½”x4¾”, unrestored. The plate is accompanied by the original Langdales Certificate of Authenticity.
