A Myochin-School Iron Menpo by Myochin Muneharu, late Edo period, 19th century. The russet-iron mask forged in three sections and hammered on the surface, the cheeks finished with deep wrinkles and applied with cordrings and cord pegs at the jaw, patinated to a rich chocolate brown, signed on the underside of the chin Toshu ju Myochin Muneharu saku. The condition is very good with a dark brown patina and normal metalaging. Est.; $2,500-$5,000

Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
