An identical chestnut server is illustrated by Karmason and Stacke, p50; and by J. Jones, p143 (top left). It is identified in both books as shape number 594. According to Atterbury the original wholesale price was 11/- for the dish, 3/6d for the spoon, and 4/6d for the burner. Versions were made in white china with or without decoration, and in majolica. £2000-3000
